Kaw Point is a small park where the Kansas River and Missouri River meet. In 1804, members of the Louis and Clark expedition camped at the spot for three days, as they made repairs to their vessels and hunted for fresh meat. Today, the park showcases information about the Corps of Discovery and a stunning view of the Kansas City skyline.

#35 – Kauffman Memorial Garden

Tip:  Visit all year long – the gardens are beautiful throughout the seasons.

The Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden is a 2-acre botanical garden that commemorates the Kauffmans and their contributions to Kansas City. The garden is located in Kansas City, Missouri near the Country Club Plaza and the Nelson-Aktins Museum of Art. With a variety of flowers, trees, fountains and hedges, the small garden is the perfect place to enjoy nature and relax.
