About the KC Pumpkin Patch
The KC Pumpkin Patch is located in Olathe, Kansas, one of the many suburbs of Kansas City. The pumpkin patch is a solid 40 minutes from downtown Kansas City, but truly feels like an escape to the countryside.
For $10, you get access to the pumpkin patch area. There’s so much to do:
- Slides
- Hayrack rides
- Trike track
- Logic games
- Petting zoo
- Gourd gun
- Zip lines
- Skee-ball
- Tug-of-war
- Trampoline
- Tetherball
- Ping-Pong
- Pumpkin bowling
- Photo props and more
The paid area is perfect for kids ages 2-10, but might be disappointing with older kids or adults. I went with a group of friends that have babies under 1 and it was fine, but they’ll probably enjoy it more next year. There are a few activities adults can enjoy like life-size checkers, skee-ball, basketball and the petting zoo, but ultimately, it’s best for children.
If you don’t want to pay the $10, there are still pumpkins and gourds of all sizes to choose from inside the general store. They also offer festive fall snacks like hard cider slushies, kettle corn and roasted cashews.
We spent about an hour and a half at the KC Pumpkin Patch wandering around and harvesting pumpkins. The pumpkins are reasonably priced – $0.50 per lb. for pumpkins and $0.50 per gourd. We got our fair share – big and small – before heading next door to the KC Wine Co. xx, Libbie.
