Good for: Feeling like you are seeing a concert at the Palace of Versailles.
Tip: Explore throughout the building – it’s full of surprises.

Near the Power & Light District, the Arvest Bank Theater at the Midland is the largest historic theater within 250 miles of Kansas City. Built in 1927, the theater has undergone many renovations, but its style remains true to the original Italian and French Baroque (think gold, domes and chandeliers).

The Kansas City Zoo is a 202-acre complex located in Swope Park near the Starlight Theater. With more than 1,300 animals from penguins to pythons, everyone can find their favorite animal at the Kansas City Zoo.

Kansas City Ballet

Head to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts to witness the magic of the Kansas City Ballet. The 30-person company stuns, as does the gorgeous architecture of the building.
