About Top Golf Kansas City
When you get to Top Golf Kansas City, expect it to be packed despite the weather. Each bay has heaters to make the space comfortable, rain or shine. Top Golf is usually packed so you’ll likely have to wait after you’ve checked in. You can wait in the lobby or in the bar area.
If you’re going to Top Golf for the first time, you will need to buy a $5 membership card. Once you have one, you can use it forever, at all of the locations. I’m not sure what exactly the membership is for beyond paying them $5 more dollars.
You reserve your bay by the half hour. Depending on the number of people you have, an hour and a half is probably plenty of time.
Once you get to your own bay, you can choose from a variety of different golf games. Basically there is a long driving range with many giant holes placed throughout. Each time you hit a microchipped golf ball, you’ll know exactly where it ends up, so you can play to see who can hit the furthest, who is most accurate or versatile. Top Golf provides both the clubs and balls, so everyone can easily participate.
The food and drinks at Top Golf Kansas City are surprisingly good for an entertainment venue (though expensive).
All in all, Top Golf Kansas City is like Chicken N’ Pickle. It’s fun, but expensive. If you go with a group away from peak hours, it’s worth it. xx, Libbie.
