Halfway to 100 Days of Libbie Loves KC

Over halfway in 100 Days of Libbie Loves KC! To be honest, I was decently tempted to call it quits at 50 (and around 20, too). 50 more feels so attainable, but unattainable all at the same time. After about five minutes of internal debate, quitting wasn’t an option. #TooStubborn. There are just so many more Kansas City things I want to do.

It has definitely been a bit challenging at times, but I make it work. On weekends where I’m traveling, I do activities during the week, or do the week before. So far, I’m on track to finish 100 Days of Libbie Loves KC by June 2018.

Union Station is a 103-year-old, historic train station in the heart of Kansas City. In addition to its role as a functioning train station, Union Station now hosts a science museum, a planetarium, a model train display and more.

Like the Plaza Art Fair, the Light Ceremony is a long-standing Plaza tradition. For the past 88 years, the Country Club Plaza has hosted a ceremony as they turn on all the holiday lights in the 15-block area. When the flip switches on Thanksgiving night, the Plaza becomes a festive spot for the holidays.

The Rieger is a Kansas City restaurant and cocktail lounge with roots dating back to 1887. The namesake comes from the pre-Prohibition distillery, J. Rieger & Co, which sold and shipped more than 100 spirits before the Prohibition.
